It means you have used the same item before in the past, therefore no longer be able to open this.

However I believe the Ausgyth Token 4 you have cannot be disposed through any methods

Had the same problem. What happens is there's a pack available on both Steam and in game cash shop - the pack includes a lot of items and is worth the money but if you buy both you get two of the 28k bronze shard tokens, but can only use one.
I admit, when I went through this I felt kind of ripped off as the bronze shards are a big part of the price of the packs, but I didn't think submitting a ticket would help, so thank you for that suggestion.

That actually makes a lot of sense with your explanation, it is possible to request for Support Team's assistance to credit you the relevant bronze shards you deserve.
Guidelines for contacting support:
1. Provide a screenshot of your proof of purchase of the [Battle Hardened Pack] (Please use the in-game client screenshot function, do not crop, edit or alter the image)
> You can find the record in the Aurum Store > Home > Purchases
> If you could not find it in your history purchase as it is pushed too far bottom, please take a screenshot of your title 'Battle-Hardened' and a screenshot indicating the [Mighty Pack of Ascension, 1989 aurums]'s contents by hovering over it. Then explain how you obtained this title.
2. Provide a second screenshot of the error message 'The permanent number of uses for this item have been maxed out.' when consuming the bronze shard token.(Again, please use the in-game client screenshot function, do not crop, edit or alter the image)
3. Explain the full scenario of this issue including your purchases.
